677 Course reflection Post
Prior to this course I really did not even think about incorporating auido or video within my classroom. However, with the incoporation of technology into the school system, this will be a GAME CHANGER for sure in the SPED world. Now students will have the opportunities to view videos that relate to daily activites that they will complete whether it is at school or at home. In addition, students will be able to re-listen to stories or even directions over and over, which will improve their vocabulary, fluency, and their comprehension.
Another way in which I have grown from this course is by discovering new platforms (mostly screencast and podcasts) to try within my classroom. Especially from scrolling through class discussions, I have been able to also see how educators are using these different platforms within their classroom.
Lastly, this course has really made an impact on me and my proffessional development. Now I am always thinknig about how I can incorporate technology within my classroom to better serve my students learning needs. I am constantly thinking, what purpose is this technology going to serve, is it apporpriate for the lesson, and most importantly what other technologic platforms can I start putting in place. The best and most influential part of this course was seeing how my professor and my fellow educators are using technology within their classroom. Schools are all about collaboration and the best way to learn is to ask questions and get a sense of how other people are doing things in their classroom.

I agree, we learned the most when we shared with each other. Scott had a lot of awesome ideas, but it was also awesome to hear about what kinds of things others are doing in the classroom. Thanks for the post K Dog
