678 Course Refleciton

This was a FANTASTIC course. Not only did I further my education by gathering knowledge from other professionals within the educational field, but I also grew as an individual in my own teachings. Again, I can't stress enough how important collaboration is within the educational system. From classroom discussion's I learned so much from my fellow educators. I consider myself to have a good grasp on my field of education, but when I start hearing of the resources that other teachers are using and how they're using them in the classroom my mind starts thinking about how I will incorporate that into my class and I wonder if I can use that same resource to help my students improve their learning within my class. This type of opportunity doesn't come often within the educational system, because most of us have NO time to just sit and dicuss what we are doing within our classroom. Additionally, this experience humbles my. As an educator I always want to continue to grow my ...

678 Technology Blog/Online Learning Post

This post is to relfect the artifacts that I have created throughout 678 and what knowledge I have gained from completing these assignments. These artifacts represent only a small portion of the different technologic platforms that I have came to learn while taking part in 678. Artifact #1 Below you will find my first artifact, a professional learning presentation on PBL. For this assignment I needed to create a Professional Learning experience to not only educate my collegues on the topic of PBL, but also make this learning experience engaging to keep the attention of my peers.  PBL Professional Learning Reflection This assignment expanded my thinking besides teaching the information. It made me think of different ways to keep peers engaged. Additionally, it made me realize that there are a lot of times where teachers zone out during lectures or professional meetings, simply becasue the way the material is being presented after a long day of work, can't keep the attention...

677 Course reflection Post

Prior to this course I really did not even think about incorporating auido or video within my classroom. However, with the incoporation of technology into the school system, this will be a GAME CHANGER for sure in the SPED world. Now students will have the opportunities to view videos that relate to daily activites that they will complete whether it is at school or at home. In addition, students will be able to re-listen to stories or even directions over and over, which will improve their vocabulary, fluency, and their comprehension.  Another way in which I have grown from this course is by discovering new platforms (mostly screencast and podcasts) to try within my classroom. Especially from scrolling through class discussions, I have been able to also see how educators are using these different platforms within their classroom. Lastly, t his course has really made an impact on me and my proffessional development. Now I am always thinknig about how I can incorporate technology wit...

This post is to relfect the artifacts that I have created throughout 677 and what knowledge I have gained from completing these assignments. These artifacts represent only a small portion of the different technologic platforms that I have came to learn while taking part in 677. Artifact #1 Below you will find my first artifact, an audio recording of a short story that I created. For this assignment, we needed to create an audio recording that we could use within our classroom. I teach SPED. Within my classroom we teach cooking lessons. This audio recording is a short story, which incorporates how to cook waffles... Audio Recording Reflection: This assignment really helped me incorporate audio within my classroom. A lot of the time I would be the one reading and then would have to re-read the story with my students...Now that I learned I could incorporate audio within my class, I can post my recordings onto google classroom and my students will have the ability to go back...
