675 Artifact #2--Student Creativity

Artifact #2--Student Creativity The purpose of this artifact is to provide students with an opportunity to give their voice in not only their learning, but also on their understanding of the learning. This type of project/assignment allows students to explore (with guidance/requirements to meet) topics that interest them. We as educators have all been in the position where a student is just going through the motions and not really getting anything out of instruction. However, when something of interest is up for discussion that same student will be your top participant. These types of student creativity projects allows for every student to research and learn about things that interest them! This project allows you to be very flexible in your teaching and students are able to use a number of different technology platforms. 675 Artifact #1--Digital Lesson

Artifact #1 Digital Lesson Project This artifact was created using "Tes Blendspace." The purpose of this artifact is to provide students with a engaging multimedia lesson that can also be differentiated for student learning needs. Through explorationg of "Tes Blendspace" I was able to discover that I am able to prove students with a more engaging lesson that allows for students to go at their own PACE, incoprorates technolgoy, and most importantly the learning is put into the hands of the learners. This platform allows you to embed videos, google docs, google forms, and a variety of other external links in which students can access from the click of a button. It is extremely easy to use and other activities you create outside of learning platform can be put right into the acitivity! Be sure to check out my digital lesson on Money Identification! It has provoked me to ask the question, "What purpose is this technology serving in my classroom?" By asking myself this question, I have been able to reflect on my teaching. Now I am constantly thinknig about how I incorporate technology and if it is at the approproiate SAMR stage for the lesson at hand. Another way in which I have grown from this course is by discovering new platforms (gizmos, evernote, genius scan, Pixlr, WeVideo, Seesaw, classdojo, google classroom, etc.) to try within my classroom. Especially from scrolling through class discussions, I have been able to also see how educators are using these different platforms within their classroom. I have already started incoprotating SeeSaw into my daily teaching! Lastly, I think one of the biggest ways this course has help me grown is thro...
